    Mileage & Time

Charges include distance traveled and time spent providing care during transport.

    Credit Cards

We accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Online checkout also supports buy-now-pay-later with Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm. CareCredit financing is also accepted — ask us about options.

    Private Pay Only

We do not bill Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Advantage or commercial insurance for any trip. Payment is due at booking by card. We can provide an itemized receipt you may submit to your plan yourself.

    Payment Plans

Flexible payment plans available for out-of-pocket expenses.

Insurance and private pay. Heart2Heart bills insurance for medically necessary transports such as dialysis, wound care and emergency-department related trips — coverage depends on the plan and is not guaranteed, and we can’t confirm accepted plans or authorization rules online. Rides booked and paid for directly on this website are paid by card at booking. We are not a Georgia Medicaid NEMT provider. If you have Medicaid transportation benefits, Georgia’s broker Verida arranges those rides at no cost to you — call 404-209-4000 (Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett) or 678-510-4555 (North Georgia), at least 3 business days ahead. Heart to Heart does not bill the VA or accept VA benefits as payment. Veterans may book and pay privately. For transportation arranged or paid for by the VA, contact your VA facility’s Beneficiary Travel office before booking.

Trips we can bill insurance for:

    • Ambulance (BLS) dialysis transportation — when medically necessary and documented

    What we do not bill:

    • Georgia Medicaid NEMT and Medicaid managed-care transportation benefits — those rides are arranged by the state broker
    • VA benefits and VA transportation programs — veterans may book and pay privately
    • Any trip we have not reviewed for medical necessity and documentation
    • Rides you book and pay for directly on this website — those are card at booking

Billing a plan is not the same as the plan paying. Coverage depends on the patient’s plan and medical necessity, and we can’t confirm accepted plans, network status or authorization rules online — call us with the trip details and we’ll tell you how it would be handled. Rides you book and pay for here are card at booking, and you get an itemized receipt you can submit to your plan. See how payment works and payment plans & financing.

    How Private-Pay Billing Works

    1. You get an itemized quote before booking — base rate, mileage, add-ons and any fees
    2. Payment is made at booking by credit or debit card, gift card, or financing
    3. The trip is dispatched and your crew is confirmed
    4. Service and equipment used during transport are documented
    5. You receive an itemized receipt after the trip
    6. You may submit that receipt to your plan for possible reimbursement — we do not file claims
    7. Cancellations and refunds follow our published cancellation policy
