    Every trip has two endpoints

The distance between home and care is the part nobody plans for. That part is ours.

    Home En route Care
    1. 01

      Pickup, planned

We confirm the address, the equipment, and who is travelling with the rider.

    2. 02

      On the road

We coordinate the route and timing around the rider’s appointment.

    3. 03

      Arrival, handled

We confirm arrival details with the rider or the receiving facility.

We coordinate the route, the vehicle, and the details around the rider—not the other way around.

    Medical transportation FAQs

The questions Atlanta families ask us most. Longer answers live in our answers library.

Pricing is a base rate for the vehicle type — wheelchair van, stretcher van, or BLS ambulance — plus a per-mile charge, with a minimum transport fee. The Comfort Package, door-through-door service, and one companion are included as standard. The trip calculator gives you an exact price for your addresses before you book.

Heart2Heart bills insurance for medically necessary transports such as dialysis, wound care and emergency-department related trips. Coverage depends on the patient's plan and is never guaranteed, and we do not bill Medicaid. Coverage always depends on your specific plan. Every other transport is private pay.

    How dialysis insurance billing works

No. Heart2Heart does not accept Medicaid under any circumstances, including managed-Medicaid plans sold under commercial brand names. Georgia Medicaid members arrange non-emergency transportation through their regional NEMT broker.

    Dialysis transportation without Medicaid

Yes. Standing dialysis schedules are a core part of what we do: the same recurring pickup times each week, timed against your actual chair times so you are not waiting after treatment. Clinic staff can send referrals directly.

Payment plans are available as low as $70 with CareCredit, and we also accept Klarna, Affirm, and HSA/FSA cards. Subject to credit approval. For high-frequency riders, membership plans bundle covered rides at a lower per-ride cost.
