    Pay in full

One payment, done. Fastest way to lock in your ride — card, health-spending funds, cash, or a one-time virtual card.

    Debit or credit card (Stripe)

Best for: anyone who wants it done in one step.

The fastest path. Enter your card on Stripe's secure checkout and the trip is reserved immediately.

    How it works

    1. Get your exact fare on the trip calculator.
    2. Click through to Stripe checkout.
    3. Instant email confirmation.

Cost note: no financing fees. Your card's normal terms apply.

Get a quote & pay now

    HSA / FSA cards

Best for: riders with tax-advantaged medical funds set aside.

HSA and FSA debit cards run on regular Visa or Mastercard rails, so they process the same as any card at checkout.

Cost note: whether medical transport is an eligible expense under your plan is between you and your HSA/FSA administrator — we can't promise eligibility. Keep our itemized receipt for your records.

Cash (in person or on scene)

Best for: riders without a card or those who prefer cash.

We accept cash paid to the crew at pickup or brought into our office at 2592 S Hairston Rd, Decatur. Please have the exact amount when possible.

Virtual card (Affirm or Klarna), then call us

Best for: using BNPL when it isn't offered at our checkout.

Don't see Klarna or Affirm at our checkout? You can still use them. Create a one-time virtual Visa in the Affirm or Klarna app, then call H2H and we'll run it like any other card over the phone.

    Pay over time

Spread the fare across weeks or months. H2H is paid up front; you repay the financing partner on their schedule.

    CareCredit for medical transport

Best for: larger fares, recurring dialysis rides, or a predictable monthly rhythm.

A healthcare credit line from Synchrony. Promotional plans let you spread the cost over 6, 12, or 18 months as deferred interest — not true 0%.

Example — on a $1,100 trip (illustrative, not a quote):

    Estimated $62–$184/mo with CareCredit

Depending on the plan you're approved for.

See if you prequalify — no impact to your credit score

Estimates only. Figures shown divide your trip cost evenly across CareCredit promotional plan lengths and are shown before tax. They are not a quote and are not your required minimum payment. Your actual plan length, monthly payment, and terms are determined by CareCredit upon approval and depend on your credit. Promotional financing plans may be deferred-interest: if the balance is not paid in full within the promotional period, interest is charged from the original purchase date. Minimum monthly payments required. Prequalifying uses a soft credit inquiry that does not affect your credit score. CareCredit is issued by Synchrony Bank. See carecredit.com for full terms.

    How it works

    1. Prequalify with a soft credit check — no score impact.
    2. If approved, apply your CareCredit account at checkout or over the phone.
    3. Pay Synchrony on your promo schedule.

Cost note: deferred-interest promo — if any balance remains at the end of the promo period, interest is charged back to day one.

Klarna Pay in 4 (medical transport)

Best for: smaller trips where a short split makes it manageable.

When you check out, Stripe may offer Klarna's Pay in 4 — four biweekly payments, typically interest-free when paid on time. Klarna decides eligibility based on your purchase amount and their approval logic.

    How it works

    1. Choose Klarna at Stripe checkout if it appears.
    2. Klarna shows the exact schedule before you accept.
    3. H2H is paid in full immediately; you repay Klarna.

Cost note: Pay in 4 is typically 0%; longer Klarna plans may add a fee or APR shown before you accept. Klarna is not H2H — issued by WebBank.

    Affirm monthly plans (medical transport)

Best for: mid-to-large fares you'd rather spread over months.

Affirm may appear at Stripe checkout with monthly plans, with rates ranging from 0% to 36% APR based on your credit and the plan you pick. You see the exact APR and monthly payment before accepting.

    How it works

    1. Choose Affirm at Stripe checkout.
    2. Answer a few questions — soft check, no score impact.
    3. Pick a plan and pay Affirm monthly.

Cost note: 0–36% APR set by Affirm. Issued by CRB, Sutton Bank, or Celtic Bank, N.A. — not H2H.

    Deposit now, balance later

Best for: planned discharges, out-of-town transfers, or scheduled procedures.

For advance bookings we can often accept a partial payment now and take the balance closer to the trip. This is arranged by phone — call (678) 696-1583.

Virtual card walkthrough (Affirm or Klarna)

Don't see Klarna or Affirm at our checkout? You can still use them. Create a one-time virtual Visa in the Affirm or Klarna app, then call H2H and we'll run it like any other card over the phone.

    Affirm — one-time virtual card

    • Open the Affirm app → Card tab → "Pay with a one-time use virtual card."
    • Enter the approximate purchase amount for an instant decision.
    • If approved, you get a one-time-use virtual Visa, valid for one use within 24 hours.
    • Rates 0–36% APR based on your credit. Pay in 4 is 0% APR. A down payment may be required.

Issued by CRB, Sutton Bank, or Celtic Bank (Members FDIC), pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. Approval and terms decided by Affirm, not H2H.

    Klarna — One-time card

    • Open the Klarna app and create a One-time card.
    • Enter the exact amount you plan to spend.
    • If approved, Klarna issues a single-use virtual Visa. It expires in 24 hours if unused.
    • A flat service fee (or an APR for longer plans) is added to your purchase — this is not free.
    • American Express cannot fund a Klarna One-time card. Any unused portion is released back.

Issued by WebBank. Approval and terms decided by Klarna, not H2H.

How to pay H2H with a virtual card

    1. Get your exact trip total on the trip calculator or by calling us.
    2. Open the Affirm or Klarna app and request a one-time virtual card for that exact amount.
    3. If you're approved you'll get a card number, expiration, and CVV.
    4. Call us within 24 hours — the card expires after that.
    5. We'll take the payment over the phone and confirm your trip.
    Call to pay — (678) 696-1583

    Please read before you apply

    • Approval isn't guaranteed. These are credit products and the app decides, not us.
    • The card expires 24 hours after you create it — please call us the same day.
    • Enter the exact trip total. If the card amount is lower than the fare, the payment will decline.
    • Some issuers decline medical or ambulance-related charges. If that happens, call us — this isn't your only path.
    • H2H is not the lender and does not decide approval. Affirm and Klarna are independent third-party financing companies.

    Insurance & benefits

Private pay is accepted for every ride. We also bill insurance for medically necessary transports such as dialysis, wound care and ER-related trips. Rides booked on this site are paid by card — here is how your own benefit works alongside that.

How insurance and paying by card fit together

Best for: riders who want the price up front and no claim in the middle.

Heart2Heart bills insurance for medically necessary transports such as dialysis, wound care and emergency-department related trips. Coverage always depends on the patient’s own plan and is never guaranteed, and we do not bill Medicaid. Rides booked and paid for directly on this website are private pay: you see the full price before you book, and payment is due at booking by card.

If you have Medicaid transportation benefits, Georgia’s broker Verida arranges those rides at no cost to you — call 404-209-4000 (Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett) or 678-510-4555 (North Georgia), at least 3 business days ahead. Use that benefit if it fits your schedule. See Am I covered? and billing & insurance for details.

    What we do not bill

Short version: nothing. Every trip is private pay. Here's the full picture so nothing surprises you at the door.

Insurance and private pay. Heart2Heart bills insurance for medically necessary transports such as dialysis, wound care and emergency-department related trips — coverage depends on the plan and is not guaranteed, and we can’t confirm accepted plans or authorization rules online. Rides booked and paid for directly on this website are paid by card at booking. We are not a Georgia Medicaid NEMT provider. If you have Medicaid transportation benefits, Georgia’s broker Verida arranges those rides at no cost to you — call 404-209-4000 (Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett) or 678-510-4555 (North Georgia), at least 3 business days ahead. Heart to Heart does not bill the VA or accept VA benefits as payment. Veterans may book and pay privately. For transportation arranged or paid for by the VA, contact your VA facility’s Beneficiary Travel office before booking.

Trips we can bill insurance for:

    • Ambulance (BLS) dialysis transportation — when medically necessary and documented

    What we do not bill:

    • Georgia Medicaid NEMT and Medicaid managed-care transportation benefits — those rides are arranged by the state broker
    • VA benefits and VA transportation programs — veterans may book and pay privately
    • Any trip we have not reviewed for medical necessity and documentation
    • Rides you book and pay for directly on this website — those are card at booking

Billing a plan is not the same as the plan paying. Coverage depends on the patient’s plan and medical necessity, and we can’t confirm accepted plans, network status or authorization rules online — call us with the trip details and we’ll tell you how it would be handled. Rides you book and pay for here are card at booking, and you get an itemized receipt you can submit to your plan. See how payment works and payment plans & financing.

    Pay by phone

Best for: family members booking on behalf of a rider, or anyone who'd rather talk to a person.

If any of this is confusing, or your family member is booking on your behalf, just call us. We'll take the card over the phone and email your receipt.

    Membership plans (cheapest long-run)

    Best for: recurring riders.

If you ride with us regularly — dialysis, weekly appointments, standing transfers — a monthly membership is the cheapest way to pay over time. See subscription plans for the tiered options.

Financing changes how you pay — not what's refundable.

Please read this before you finance a trip. Our cancellation and refund terms apply the same whether you paid by card, Klarna, Affirm, CareCredit, or a virtual card.

    1. Choosing Klarna, Affirm, CareCredit, or a virtual card changes who you pay and when. It does not change our cancellation or refund policy. The fare is the fare either way.
    2. The $60 booking fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, including when the trip was financed.
    3. Our refund tiers still apply exactly as written — always minus the booking fee:
      • 35% of trip cost — 24+ hours before pickup
      • 20% of trip cost — 12-24 hours before pickup
      • 10% of trip cost — 2-12 hours before pickup
      • 0% of trip cost — Under 2 hours before pickup
      • No-shows: no refund. On-scene cancellations: full fare plus a 60% surcharge.
    4. When a refund is owed, it goes back to the original payment method — meaning back to Klarna, Affirm, or your CareCredit line, not as cash to you. You keep making your scheduled payments to the lender until they post the credit. Financing does not pause while a refund is in flight.
    5. If the refund is partial (which it usually is), you still owe the lender the remaining financed balance, plus any interest or fees they've already assessed. H2H does not refund a lender's interest or service fees — we never received that money.
    6. Disputing the charge with Klarna, Affirm, CareCredit, or your bank is not a substitute for our cancellation policy. Contact us first — call (678) 696-1583 — and we'll work it out.
    7. Medical situations are unpredictable. We review extenuating circumstances case by case and would rather talk it through than have someone skip care.

Straight answers to the real questions

No fine print. If the answer here isn't clear enough, call us and we'll walk you through it.

CareCredit prequalification uses a soft credit inquiry that does not affect your credit score. If you decide to complete a full application, that step is a hard inquiry. Klarna and Affirm perform their own soft checks at checkout when you're offered a plan; approval and terms are set by them, not by H2H.

You still have options. You can pay by debit or credit card, request a virtual one-time card from Klarna or Affirm and call us to run it, ask about a smaller deposit today with the balance owed later, or call us to discuss what works. We do not turn people away for a single denial.

Private pay is accepted for every ride. We also bill insurance for ambulance dialysis transport: H2H bills Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare and Aetna for BLS ambulance dialysis rides, and coverage depends on your plan, medical necessity and any required authorization. Every other ride, including wheelchair and stretcher-van dialysis rides, is private pay, due at booking by card. We do not bill Medicaid. We can give you an itemized receipt to submit to your plan yourself, but we cannot promise reimbursement.

No — H2H is a private-pay service. We are not a Medicaid provider and do not bill Medicaid. Apart from BLS ambulance dialysis transport (billed to Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare and Aetna), every trip is private pay. Payment is due at booking by card. If you have Medicaid transportation benefits, Georgia's broker Verida arranges those rides at no cost to you — call 404-209-4000 (Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett) or 678-510-4555 (North Georgia), at least 3 business days ahead.

Heart to Heart does not bill the VA or accept VA benefits as payment. Veterans may book and pay privately. For transportation arranged or paid for by the VA, contact your VA facility’s Beneficiary Travel office before booking.

CareCredit promotional financing has historically required a minimum purchase of about $200. Klarna and Affirm generally have their own minimums shown at checkout. There is no minimum to pay by card or over the phone.

Talk to us before your trip. We would rather work out a plan than have you skip care. On the same-day, a smaller deposit gets your ride booked; on advance bookings we can often accept a partial payment now with the balance due closer to the trip.

Yes — we have discounts for veterans, seniors, first responders, and dialysis riders, and a membership plan for regular riders. These stack up to our standard discount cap. Ask us or see the trip calculator for what applies to your trip.

Eligibility for Klarna and Affirm at Stripe checkout depends on your purchase amount, region, and their own approval logic — it's not something we can force on. If you don't see them, you can request a one-time virtual card from the Klarna or Affirm app and call us to run it as a regular card payment. Same result, one extra step.

CareCredit promotional plans are commonly deferred-interest, not true 0%. If the full balance is paid before the promo period ends, no interest is charged. If any balance remains at the end of the period, interest is charged back to the original purchase date. Read the terms CareCredit shows you at approval — those are the ones that apply to you.

HSA and FSA cards run on the ordinary Visa or Mastercard rails, so they will process at our checkout the same as any card. Whether medical transport is a covered expense under your specific plan is a decision between you and your HSA/FSA administrator — we cannot promise eligibility. Keep our itemized receipt for your records.

Financing changes who you pay and when — it does not change our cancellation and refund terms. The $60 booking fee is non-refundable in all cases. If a refund is owed under our tiered policy (35% with 24+ hours notice, 20% at 12–24 hours, 10% at 2–12 hours, 0% under 2 hours), it is returned to the original payment method — meaning back to Klarna, Affirm, or your CareCredit line, not as cash. See /policies/cancellation for the full rules.

Yes. Your agreement with the lender is separate from our refund policy. Keep making your scheduled payments to Klarna, Affirm, or CareCredit while a refund is being processed — a partial refund reduces your balance with the lender once it posts, but it does not pause your payment schedule. Any interest or service fees the lender has already assessed are theirs, not ours, and H2H cannot refund them.

That benefit is administered by your plan's own broker, not by us — call the number on the back of your insurance card to arrange it. H2H does not bill any plan or benefit. Booking directly with us is a private-pay ride.

H2H does not bill any payer for any trip, so an AMA discharge is private pay like every other ride. We will still transport you — you pay us directly at booking.

Wheelchair van and stretcher van rides are private pay — we don't bill insurance for them. The only insurance billing is for ambulance dialysis transport, which we bill to Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare and Aetna; coverage depends on your plan.

That benefit is administered by your plan's own broker, not by us — call the number on the back of your insurance card to arrange it. H2H does not bill any plan or benefit. Booking directly with us is a private-pay ride.
