Plan before it becomes urgent
Repeated private-pay rides, mileage, waiting, cancellations, and last-minute arrangements can add up quickly. Planning early helps uncover mobility, escort, return, and payment details before appointment day. Availability is never guaranteed, especially for last-minute requests.

Confirm both addresses, pickup time, appointment time, and whether the return is scheduled or will-call.
Explain whether the rider walks, transfers with help, stays in a wheelchair, must lie down, or needs BLS monitoring.
Count steps, note elevators, narrow entries, gate codes, and any equipment needed at pickup or destination.
Ask the treating facility whether a responsible adult must check in, stay, or take the rider home after sedation.
Check the distance on each leg. A return trip is a second one-way ride, and each leg is measured separately.
Choose drop-off plus a separate return, or arrange reserved wait-and-return in advance when appropriate.
Confirm who will call when the rider is ready. Facility discharge times and vehicle availability are not guaranteed.
Confirm who is paying and whether billing review is needed before relying on possible insurance coverage.
Read the current cancellation policy before booking and share changes as early as possible.

These are pricing inputs, not an all-in quote. Ambulatory trips are estimated through the trip calculator. The minimum transport fee is $100, and other disclosed fees may apply.
Estimate my tripMileage is calculated by route. The separate coverage-zone fee still applies beyond 10 miles—even within a larger plan mileage allowance: $50 beyond 10 through 20 miles, $100 beyond 20 through 30 miles, then $50 per additional 10 miles.
A round trip has two legs. Reserved wait-and-return is $70/hour with a one-hour minimum; a normal drop-off and later return is different.
After-hours pickup, stairs, extra assistance, equipment, tolls, parking, or extra stops can change the total.
Cancellation terms depend on timing and trip status. Review the current policy before booking rather than assuming every cancellation is free.
Insurance and private pay. Heart2Heart bills insurance for medically necessary transports such as dialysis, wound care and emergency-department related trips — coverage depends on the plan and is not guaranteed, and we can’t confirm accepted plans or authorization rules online. Rides booked and paid for directly on this website are paid by card at booking. We are not a Georgia Medicaid NEMT provider. If you have Medicaid transportation benefits, Georgia’s broker Verida arranges those rides at no cost to you — call 404-209-4000 (Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett) or 678-510-4555 (North Georgia), at least 3 business days ahead. Heart to Heart does not bill the VA or accept VA benefits as payment. Veterans may book and pay privately. For transportation arranged or paid for by the VA, contact your VA facility’s Beneficiary Travel office before booking.
Heart to Heart is an independent private-pay transportation provider and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or in the VA network. Read the cancellation policy.
For repeated appointments
Three round trips each week can use six one-way rides. Memberships count each leg separately.
A plan for one transport mode does not create an entitlement to a different vehicle.
Included miles apply per one-way ride. Extra-mile and coverage-zone charges can still apply.
A membership is not required. Standard one-time booking remains available when a plan does not fit.
Current catalog comparison
Estimated usage for doctor. A limit match is not a savings, availability, eligibility, scheduling, or insurance-coverage guarantee, and a membership does not guarantee a standing schedule.
