    Bariatric and stretcher transport is a private-pay service. We bill insurance for dialysis trips only, with prior authorization required before the trip, and we do not accept Medicaid.

    Yes. Stretcher and bariatric transport is private pay at Heart2Heart. Heart2Heart bills insurance for medically necessary transports such as dialysis, wound care and emergency-department related trips. Coverage depends on the patient's plan and is never guaranteed, and we do not bill Medicaid. We do not accept Medicaid.
    Bariatric trips use our stretcher van with heavy-duty equipment and added crew rather than a separate vehicle class, which is why pricing is the stretcher rate plus the bariatric surcharge.
    Often yes, but tell dispatch the stair count when you book. Stairs add a per-step fee and may change the crew size or equipment we send, and we would rather plan for it than discover it at the door.
